Ordering & Getting Started

Choose your label size, quantity, application (hand or machine), material, adhesive, and any finishing options on the product page, upload your artwork, add notes, and we’ll take it from there.

Yes, you enter your own width and height — there’s no fixed size list to choose from.

Yes, if you need a specific number per roll rather than our standard roll configuration, you can set that during ordering.

There’s no fixed minimum, you can order any quantity. That said, every print run carries a base production cost, so very small quantities aren’t cost-effective. As a guide, we’d recommend 500 units or above to get good value from your order.

Hand means you’ll be applying labels by peeling and sticking manually — no extra setup needed. Machine means you’re using a label applicator or dispenser, which needs a matched roll core, winding direction, and gap between labels.

Roll Setup for Machine Application

26mm for small desktop printers, 40mm for desktop and compact commercial machines, 50mm for mid-size commercial, 76mm for industrial or automatic application. Check your applicator’s spec sheet if you’re not sure.

The direction your labels wind off the roll (Up, Right, Bottom, or Left), matched to how your applicator feeds them. Check your machine’s manual or an existing roll.

It’s the blank space between labels that your applicator’s sensor reads to know where one label ends and the next begins. Standard is 3mm, with options up to 6mm.

Materials

Paper, White PP, Clear PP, Metallic, Textured Paper, Security, and Hologram, each with a preview on the product page.

Metallic is the label itself — a reflective material your design is printed on. Foil is a finishing effect applied on top of any material for a reflective accent on specific parts of your design.

Tamper-evident labelling — it shows a void pattern if the label is removed or broken, commonly used for seals.

A natural, tactile, matte finish, similar to kraft or uncoated paper.

Yes, Clear PP.

Adhesive

Standard is general-purpose permanent adhesive for most products. Removable is for surfaces you’ll want to peel later, like reusable jars or seasonal packaging. Super Permanent (Hot-Melt) has the strongest hold, for rough, curved, or outdoor surfaces.

Finishing & Special Effects

Silver, Gold, Copper, and Hologram Foil.

A spot varnish that creates a 3D, tactile effect on part of your design. It needs to be submitted as a separate layer or file.

Unique or sequential information on each label — text, QR codes, or barcodes. Provide it as a spreadsheet with one row per label.

Coating is a liquid layer applied during printing (gloss, matt, or satin) — lighter and more subtle. Lamination is a film bonded on top (gloss, matt, or soft touch) — more durable and more tactile.

Artwork & Design Support

Artwork Check (+£9.90) means we review your print-ready file for issues before printing. Design Support (+£29.90) means we help prepare or adjust your existing artwork for print — we’re not designing something from scratch.

As a separate spot-colour layer or file, following the artwork guidelines on the upload screen.

Yes, zip your files together and upload as one.

As a spreadsheet (xlsx or csv), one row per label.

Vector files, with PDF as our preferred format. If you’re using Foil Finish or Raised Varnish, please convert all text to outlines and embed any remaining fonts, as we need to work with these as separate spot-colour layers. We can accept JPEG or other pixel-based files too, but in that case print quality is your responsibility.
